Closed for Business.
For a while, I've been questioning who actually comes here and reads my thoughts/blogs. The people that I did want to come here, I don't think they actually do. I actually don't think many come at all so it seems like I'm wasting my time 'writing to myself'. I'd rather be talking to myself, but then again that's not so cool either. It got kinda scary, when something happened during the day, my first initial thought was "ooh I can't wait to blog about that.." and hell that's messed.
So, after a short 8 months, Denise's blog is no longer. Thanks to those who did come around, if you stlil do, thanks for caring and checking in with me. I'll still be around on MSN/ICQ and my phone is always open to those who want to talk.

Golly Jee Whitakers!

I am so tired right now, it's insane.
Well, Tuesday *thank GOODNESS* is over with. I had another 12 hour day AND there was the storm AND they didn't cancel my classes=( But the prof for Jap Cin was nice, he let us out an hour early, but I got left behind a half hour for work. Booo. But whatever, it's OVER:)
Wednesday was alright, came to work, then went to school for an hour=) It was REALLY interesting, we talked about the Church in Nazi Germany. I had no idea that Hitler was a devout Catholic...as were his followers. It all makes so much sense now, the massacre against the Jews. It kinda makes me mad that in HS and as well as in my elementary school, they never told me that. I guess I could've researched it myself, but I dunno, it never dawned on me why they WERE persecuting Jews, but it all...fits together now. Hmm. Wednesday night we went out to this dinner place near Market Village (Green onions & Garlic?! haha I think that's the name too). We had lotsa food, GOOD STUFF. Lobster & CRAB!!! Afterwards, we went to visit ROB who was on a JOB! he was in full uniform and everything, we took pictures in the middle of Skymark Plaza. It was sooooo funny (ohhh, I guess I should tell you, Rob is a COP). These people were staring at us and thought we were insane. It was quite amusing=) After a lil' bit he had to go back to work and we had to head home. Clem called me and he wanted to get some food, we got into a bit of a tiff earlier in the day (but all is well=) so we just spent a little bit of time together. We went to Johnny's, the boys were hungry, and I got a shake:D Boys, as in we met Wilfred there. Ohh man I was soo paraonid, their parking lot was NOT shoveled at all and I really thought I was going to get stuck. Luckily I didn't...phew! Went home a lil' early, had to finish up my chinese and so I was watching tv while I was doing it, and my cousin came down and we talked...from 11:30 to 2:30 in the MORNING! I was lke WHOA it's almost 3am!! I gotta work in the morning!! That was pretty cool.
Thursday morning. OHHH man, sooo sleepy. Had to work til 1:30, I got Carmen to do my chinese homework=) Well just the sentences part. heheh..man I gotta start reviewing that crap. Class was boring, but I like people in that class, they're very cool, and yes I know I already said that in a previous blog. On the way home, I ran into Robbie Kidnie on the subway. We were talking til he got off @ Lawrence, and the KID got LASER EYE SURGERY!! he was telling me the procedure *ewwwww* I am almost certain there were women on the subway train laughing at the faces I was giving as he was telling me the procedure. Yuck. My mom made me go out to Clem's branch so she could get some HK$...after that I went to Fairview cuz I had to buy my good ole' Cousin RAY:) a present! I guess..I won't tell her what I got since...she sometimes come by.!! Later at night, I hung out with Clem & Woo, lost 4$...but it was just Woo's money=)
now it's Friday and I've had approximately 10 hours of sleep in 2 days. Tonight I'm supposed to chill with my cousin, not sure where to take him yet. If he's going to chlil with my brother, clem wants to go out with his colleague's to play some MJ. He wants us to go, but I'm kinda nervous. He went and TOLD them that I'm good! I"M NOT THAT GOOOD! My grandma taught me when I was like 14/15 when she was here (visiting from Aussie, oh that's where my cousin Austin who's here right now is from). But whatever it's only 10$ and it's all for fun=) I guess we'll see how that goes! Ok I should get back to work, actually I should probably go to bed but that's not gonna happen.

Ohh I guess I should explain that title. I was on the phone this morning and this guy I was talking to couldn't remember his address.,..so he swore. And then when I asked him for his postal code, he said "GOLLY JEEE WHITAKERS! how could i forget my postal code?!" it was kinda funnny...hehe Ok. back to work . right.

Alrighty, so...I haven't updated in a while..
Thursday - Chinese New Year, went to work, went to Mandarin where we had a mini new year party, the teacher was sooo nice she bought us duck and everything it was cool...I like my class, minus the fact that MANY of them are scammers, they're cool people.
Friday - went to work...they had NOTHING for us to do so I got to leave early in which I went shopping!!! I decided to go to EC alone since Janice had to go up to T&T with her other friend and I didn't wanna bother Yvonne in case she was with Pat. A couple of my colleagues were jealous, they wanted the afternoon off with me to go shopping..hehe SO yeh, I decided to walk ALL of Eaton Centre..and I did it very..strategically. Started at one end, and worked my way UP the 3/4 flights (including basement) so that I'd end up on the DUndas side so I could go to Urban Outfitters. I was looking for a tote bag but I just coudln't find a nice enough one. (I got the LL BEAN catalogue in the mail today! I WANNA ORDER!) I got Clem this retro tshirt that he wanted, but didn't wanna spend the money on and I got myself ONE weight. That's right. I figured I'd only need one, and not two because I'd be doing one arm at a time! Apparently I got ripped off though=( Sears was selling it..with 25% off..and I still got ripped. Darnit. Anyways, that took up about an hour and a half and then I headed home. Met up with Clem after he got off work and we went to Kelseys for some food=) I got the Chicken pizza and he got his ribs. Actually I wasn't that hungry and he coudln't decide on one of those so I decided to order the other one=) I got to use my Gift Certificate that the Wongs gave me..THANK YOU!
Saturday....had a big dinner at my house. That was fun, lotsa food. After that I picked up Clem, and met up with Alan, Nick, Woo & Wilf. We went to Alleycatz - "supposedly" a jazz club but their live band that night was NOT playing jazz. Kept playing cover songs by Remy Shand, John Mayer and some other people. It was a nice plcae, turned into a club later on. After that we went to Al's to play some POOL and we (FINALLY!) watched Rounders. It was a good movie, except I think Nick & Clem hyped it up too much for me. I HATE when that happens!=) Got home @...3ish ...luckily didn't get into trouble=)
SUNDAY was the BIG day! CLEMENT"S 21ST BIRTHDAY!=) YAY! (We like making birthdays an entire weekend event..hehehe) Actually, scratch that..I like making birthdays an entire weekend event. He had dinner @ home and had his daddy's cake...afterwards I went over for a little bit before we played some tennis=) That was fun, but the lady that was working there was being sooo stupid. I think Alan shoulda whipped a ball at her...she deserved it!
Monday (today) - wasn't too bad. I woke up at about 1030ish...bummed around til 1:15 when I went to school. Got to class, sat there for about 10-15 mins..until this guy came in and said that our prof had called..he's stuck in Waterloo and class was cancelled!!! YAYYYY!!! Kinda sucks that I went all the way down there but whatever, my dad picked me up cuz he was just leaving work. Got home and we just put together the snow-blower cuz of the 15 cm of snow we're waiting for. It's FREEEEEEEEEEEEZING out!!!!
Ok, I should go get some work done...or get distracted by Ronhinton Mistry's "A Fine Balance" THANKS for buying it for me Clem..you're right, I am liking it so far! Donna you were RIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

I've got an obsession with owning movies...
So, on Monday night, my brother got back from China! He's here for..about 3-4 weeks to a.) meet up with some people and b.) SUPERBOWL! Eventually I"m sure the two will mix, since the playoffs began, he's "isolated' himself from the news and we had to tape EVERY SINGLE game for him. From now until Feb 1st, he plans to watch every single game, from beginning to end. Yes, he will do it too. He's watching the Broncos/Colts game right now!! I'm having fun teasing him about it...like "oh, no point watching THIS game.." "damn that's too bad that they tried so hard in this game.." hahahah I'm so evil..but don't worry I didn't give it away.
He brought back Clem's vest for him - and aside from some obvious stuff (like how North Face never has hoods for their vests) it's pretty hard to tell it's a fake. AND my bro bought me a BUNCH of movies from China...fakes obviously but who cares! They look real and have the boxes and such...I got..Finding Nemo, Kill Bill (YAY!), LOTR: ROTK, How to Lose a guy in 10 Days, etc etc. I asked my bro to get me Bend It Like Beckham (GO SEE IT!)...but he got me some documentary on BECKHAM himself. WHAT THE?!?!!? It's called "beckham unwrapped" - apparently he's a GOD in China/HK.
Yesterday was KILLER. I had my usual 8 hours of class - pretty much stayed til the end in all of 'em and it was awful. I was sooo tired by Jap Cinema...but then RIGHT after I had to go to work cuz we were having this 3 hour training session. Remember how...some teachers in high school would read straight out of the book and you thought it was entirely pointless because you were quite qualified in reading it yourself? Well picture that...at our meeting. Yah. Some stuff needed explaining...but there was just...pretty self-explanitory stuff, luckily they had candy and I sugar'd up...I had to. I woulda fallen over. They didn't leave me any food for dinner:( I was starving and seriously, knowing that I was going to get chicken pizza at the end of my 8 hours is really what pushed me forward. But then they told me that they had none left..=( SO..my assistant boss ran downstairs and got me a Sante Fe chicken sandwich from Swiss Chalet - DAMMMN that was good=) Got home, wrote a bunch of my paper and now I'm just tweaking it...I thought I might've had to pull an all-nighter but thank goodness I didn't.
Talking to Jenna now,got class @ 2 and then some big dinner for Chinese New year!

yay..CHINA!
So my brother went up to Harbin, in northern China..and they're famous for their ice sculptures. This stuff KICKS the ass of what we find @ Nathan Phillips Square...and they do it every year!!!
Harbin Snow and Ice World: simply stunning. But for 80RMB it's the most expensive attractive I've been to in China.

TGIF!
Maaaaan, the week is finally OVER, well minus today. Tuesday was HELL as usual, I hate those damn 8 hour days. My Jap Cinema film was sucky too, almost 3 hours of just Olympics. The only amusing thing was that we discovered the most "dangerous" sport was SPEED-WALKING. haha, it's funny watching them do it, but..yeh I can see how it can make someone go crazy.
Anyways, yeah, Tuesday SUCKED. Wednesday was a littttle bit better. It was freezing that morning but LUCKILY my daddy was able to drive me down to school=) YAY! Door to door service! hehe I only had that one class, but I had to go early...so I got to chill with Brendan & Yvonne! SUPER YAY! I haven't seen them....in soo long. I used to see Yvonne about twice a week when I had my GLG...but I never see Brendan! So we had some good laughs and talked...yvonne is sooo funny...she seems happy with Pat=) That makes me glad!
AND THEN...I went home, got into a fight with my mom - BLAH. But later on, we went to KBBQ!!!! That was funnn, apparently ALL THREE GUYS had eaten dinner before hand! What silly foos...heheh Well Clem had eaten at 4 before school...and well, Alan & Clark (Donna couldn't come=( had eaten FULL meals. Good thing though, Alan still had room for 3 bowls of rice!!! hehe That was fun, we talked about stuff...getting hopeful for next season..senior division...we WILL PREVAIL! hehe
But yeh, after...eating til 12ish, we called it a night since Clark had school the next day and I had my test=(
I woke up the next day to find out my computer DIED. That's right, it wouldn't start up! I FREAKED OUT, and immediately ran online and got some good tips from Vicky & Winson. THANKS GUYS! I had to run to Woo's after my test (which was enh...) and..thank GOODNESS something worked. I dont' really know what it was, but...whatever I hope it never comes back! Went to Clem's after, played a lil' LOTR:ROTK on PS2 and then played cards with Woo ... won 4$ again..I dunno like i like winning and everything just it's getting kinda tedious..a lil' mundane that we just..sit there and play.
I got this off Jo's page...I think I want everything that's named here...=) Well she had a little bit more...re: architecture, but...well I'm not as creative. :)
I don`t want my life to be a routine...
I want to be able to say I`ve stepped on all 7 continents.
I want a loft, with a solarium, with hardwood floors, and a green couch.
I want to make a difference in at least 5 people's lives.
I want to be remembered...for something great.
I want my life to be accomplished and stable.
